Helsinki: A rising thundercloud lit by the sunset dominates a view from the shore of Katajanokka district. Thundershowers formed above the Gulf of Finland were moving towards the coast.

Well, actually you're quite right; I DO have a lot more photos of sunsets, and almost all of my sunrise photos are taken during the winter. That, of course, is mainly caused by the sunrise times in Helsinki, which are very "inhuman" this time of the year. And no, I don't like to sleep long, it just happens. ;)

Niklas, don't worry. In Poland in Bydgoszcz (53N,18E) in this time of the year sunrise is at 4:25. This is very "inhuman" time.
But in my birthday on 13th of June, sunrise is at 4:13 and I would like to wake up early and take some photos! I hope that will be magic ;)

Jagoda, I'm amazed that sunrise in Bydgoszcz is only about 15 minutes later than in Helsinki. On the other hand, in Helsinki the sun sets almost 1½ hours later than in Bydgoszcz. Fascinating! Let's hope for good weather on your birthday! :)

Yes, it's very fascinating... In north of Poland we have early sunrise (only in spring & summer)and it's beautiful phenomenon. But sunset is realy earlier than in Helsinki - a thousand pities :( I dream about "white nights" - in Poland we say that about midnight sun. And it's possible only in Suomi ;)

Yes, sunset times in summer in the Northern areas are wonderful!
My dream is, to live during winter somewhere downn South (Capo Verde or Brasil or so) and in summer in a mökki at the border of one of the Finnish lakes. That would be wonderful!
