Helsinki: A flower on the shore of Länsi-Mustasaari, one of the Suomenlinna islands. Maybe someone wiser can tell me what this plant is?

Hi Niklas! I don't have the fainest idea, but it's a beauty. Yellow is my favourite colour specially for flowers. Is this the real size or is it just a tiny little flower?

This is a close-up, so the flower is quite tiny.

Hello Niklas,

I don't know this flower, but I could try to find out. I often take flower photos and sometimes I don't know their name, so I'm used to search here and there to ID them. I don't have time today, but I'll try tomorrow. Hopefully you will be lucky and someone will tell you its name before that! ;) If it's not the case, could you please tell us the approximate hight of the whole plant? I thought it could be Golden Rod (Solidago virgaurea) but I think it's not.

A nice day to everyone!

Cynthia, I'm grateful for all hints you can give me. I checked out some pictures of Golden Rod, and I agree with you that this probably is some other flower. It's hard for me to estimate the height of the plant, since I just took this picture, and I don't remember it so well. Maybe it was about 20-30 centimetres heigh, or a little less. Thank you in advance!

Sabine, thank you, it seems to be Common Ragwort. You're a genius! :)
