Helsinki: A few fallen leaves are the only signs of autumn in the green and flowering Esplanadi Park near the city centre. Picture taken from Pohjoisesplanadi street on a sunny evening.

The gras is always greener on the other side of the hill?
I admit, it's true

The gras is ALWAYS greener in Finland! German gras only has a small percentage of the green the finnish gras is coloured in. Really, not kidding! Sometimes it even gets a tiny shade of blue.

This year in South Finland (and in Helsinki) allmost all gras areas were entirely brown & yellow during summertime due to driest june - august period of all time!
This park in the picture was exception, because the gras were watered allmost every night. All gras areas have now turned back to green in recent weeks thanks to a bit more humid early autumn weather.
Dry summer weather ment also, that there were hardly any notable thunderstorms in Helsinki despite prolonged warm and hot temperatures. That was a dissappointment to me, because i like thunder so much.
