What a nice picure - again. Looks like it's already frosty in Helsinki, is it?

Maria, it WAS frosty in Helsinki, but only during that night (Saturday-Sunday). This morning there was some snowfall in the northern parts of the capital, but not near the coast, where the sea still warms the air. Tomorrow there might be snowfall even at the coast. I'm looking forward to it with eager... :)

Looking forward to the snow? Well, I like it too, in December & January, but for October... But anyways, read in the weather report for Vienna, that there might be snow coming at the end of this week, which is quite early. However, I'm sure the chances that is will melt again are definitely bigger here than in Helsinki. So, when the snow comes, enjoy it, make a snowman, and take a picture of it for us ;-)

An excellent way to keep an eye on the Finnish weather conditions is watching the pictures of the road weather cameras maintained by the Finnish Road Administration.

Guys...
It is really early (even for Finland) for snow... But...
We had also cold days in Athens, thing that is very uncommon for October here. For example i live North of Athens in a suburbs, and the temperature didn't get the 7 degrees max. all day long.(We always have 4-5 degrees difference from the centre of Athens).
Today is much much better cold but with sunshine, but they say it will change again and the weekend will be much colder than yesterday...

Hi Niklas.
Beautiful picture as always.I love the autumn colours.
I also looked at the site you did mantion, road weather camaras, and there was already much snow this evening. A real winter landscape! No winter in the Netherlands yet, just a big storm.

Gre, yes the storm we had too, however not so bad as you.

But there is snow as well (however, in the city it just melts away). But, one week ago, we still had 25°. So that change is quite hard to cope with. Still not used to the cold, and still always wearing the wrong clothes ;-)

@ Maria
No snow at all in the NL. October was one of the warmest months of the last 50 years. During the storm there were some heavy showers with hail but that melts away in 5 minutes.
That´s why I love the Skandinavian countries. The winters are real winters! With snow, also in a big city like Helsinki. Real cold weather, a White Christmas and frozen seas. And ofcourse thanks to Niklas who makes it possible that we also can enjoy the beautiful scenic of it. For the garantee of a warm summer we have to go to Evi in Greece I think! Bey
