Helsinki: Steam rising from Kustaanmiekka strait east of the Suomenlinna fortress islands. Picture taken on a freezing morning from the fortification wall seen on the right.
Piudefull. Shöön. Veri naiss. Vakkärt. So we Finnish people hear Your language, who don't speak Finnish. Nicklas is the best. Agree?

Oké, I agree.
I love this picture, specially for the fog and lighthouse. Reminds me of the movie ´The Fog`, long time ago.

;-) Jampe ...Niklas, you take the most gorgeous pictures I have ever seen. You never cease to amaze me, as does the beauty of Finland!

Awesome photo Niklas...those great contrasts again. Rigid sharpness on the right, dreamlike quality on the left. See your guestbook for a further comment on my recent trip to HKI :)

Jampe, ai egrii tuu ;-))
Yes, this is a very beautiful picture (Jampille: on kaunis kuva). This steamy sea looks very unreal, as though there is a volcano underneath, heating the water.

Brilliant photo!
The colours, the steam, the lighthouse, the angle it was taken (which is an important part, as it can accentuate or demote a photo), an excellent work.

Hi Niklas - as ever, first class photography! I have closely followed your collection of dramatic and atmospheric pictures for the past few years - they have extra meaning because I was fortunate to visit Helsinki on five occassions since 2001. How is your University course going? Will you continue to use your undoubted ability with a camera when you are in full time work? I hope so and I am certain your other regular site guests will wish so too!!. Although the sea around Helsinki has a covering of ice, it appears to be less than previous years - has this winter been warmmer than expected? Best wishes for 2007. David
