Very picturesque, you really come out with sunshine, like the snails do after the rainfall. The same we do when it's snowing :-)
Sunshine is quite a common thing to us...

Blue sky partly clouded. No more ice on the sea but some snow on the ground. Lovely and ..warm.. sunshine. Time to enjoy a cup of coffee or tea or.. or.. outside at the shore.
Finnish people know what is good for them and good for life.
Relax and enjoy ! And a last winter symbol (?) in the front.
Niklas - how was your cup of coffee/tea? Hope you haven't wait for hours...:)

I can't believe it! Was the sky really THAT blue???

Niklas Sjöblom

Jana, you can't always believe what you see, and you can't always see what you believe in. ;)

Don't know about the sky in the picture but I've never seen skies as blue as those in Finland... or clouds and snow so white. It's no wonder that the Finnish flag reflects these two beautiful sides of Finnish nature. Can't wait to get back in 3 weeks (Turku not Helsinki, but never mind).

I have to comment the colour of the sky. I am a finn and I did not even "notice" the blueness. Of course the sky is blue! Why are you so amazed? :)

Iain

@ Tuula
I think it's just the clarity of the colour. The air is definitely cleaner in Finland than, for example, in the UK. Here we have blue skies at present but they're always filtered through a grey film of pollution and so are less vivid, the clouds always more grey than white. That's my explanation - Nik, you're a meteorologist (?) any better explanation?

Errrm, thanks for the illumination Niklas. I'm much smarter now! ;-)
