Can I ask something? Do you have your camera with yourself everytime and everywhere you go and you take a photo when you see something nice? Or every evening you have plans about the "photos of tomorrow"?
F. ex. this was the 3rd year when I missed the Christmas decoration of my town ... although I decided every day to take a photo...

Essi, previously I used to have my camera with me almost every time I went out. Nowadays, however, I've been forced to change my behaviour a little, since my new camera (bought last summer) weighs a lot more than the old one. Also the dark winter in Helsinki makes it pointless for me to carry the camera around with me all day, if I know I probably won't be able to take any pictures before it gets dark.

Usually I don't have any exact plans for what to take pictures of, but sometimes there might be special locations I try to visit at certain moments. (That, however, often requires good self-discipline!) Most of my photos are from the same, relatively small area surrounding my home, which certainly doesn't indicate good planning. :)

Niklas, moving to your new flat in Katajanokka doesn't stop you taking pleasant photos. And the area around Katajanokka has many places to take a shot. The weather situation is no problem for you. Please go on. I am waiting for your winter pictures (sure you have taken some :-)).

Theo, you're right, of course I've taken some pictures also lately, but not so many during November and December. The reason is that there hasn't been almost any visible signs of winter so far - except for the huge darkness. We've actually had just one short period of snow here during the first few days of December. Normally I would have been bothered by weather conditions like this, but now I just think they're ideal for helping me reduce the long time lag between photo shooting and publishing.

Hello,
I've been thinking of visiting Helsinki and these pics just show, it might be worthwile the travel. I like strong colours and that's what I can see here. Hope the whole of the town is like shown on your photos, not just your district.
Good luck in future picture taking.
