The last two pictures would make a lovely pair of framed prints. The colour contrasts are just so striking. Wonderful!

Iain, thanks! Actually I chose the previous image to be included in the 2009 wall calendar, which will soon be available.

Today we had an amazingly heavy snowstorm in Helsinki. I'll probably publish some pictures of it during this week.

Great picture. Is that ice forming? I remember sailing to the islands
4 years ago in November the week after the temperature had dropped to
-28! Incredible. Kiitos paljon.

What a beautiful and serene scene Niklas! The weather now must be quite the opposite, huh?
And YES, we are looking forward to seeing the snow!

I like the feeling when I look at this picture. Peaceful Finland!

I am waiting for the snow pics also :)

We had snow in England this week too! This caused the usual headlines of 'Deep Freeze Britain' and the like. Needless to say, it had all melted by midday!

Iain.
I live in UK and we had snow 3 days ago and it's still here!
But then we do live 1,500ft above sea level in the North Pennines, Northumberland. As I type it is well below freezing. I take your point though about exaggerated weather reports UK style.
