Actually the sunsets in Helsinki can really be like this, but it takes Niklas' genius to seize the very right moment and to be in the very right place.

Just to clarify: this isn't a sunset at all. The picture was taken more than an hour after sunset, when it was almost completely dark - or as dark as it can be near the city. The orange glow comes from the city lights, which are reflected by the snow and the low clouds. This is actually a good example of what is called light pollution. In reality the glow was very faint, but I caught it with a long exposure time.

Amazing color from the afterglow and city lights. Great capture. The Finnish government should hire you to take photos just to "show off" the country to potential tourists.
