Helsinki: Vanhankaupunginkoski rapids in Vanhakaupunki (Old Town) district. In the front is Vantaanjoki river, which is covered with ice and snow except for the steaming waterfall.
So beautiful landscape! We have in Poland thissame strong winter [-30C]. I'm so happy! I love winter & Helsinki! I have one question, Niklas: when was latest Aurora Borealis in your town???
P.S. Look at my town [hiere you are webcam at Market Place].
Greetings :)

Thanks for your comment, Jagoda. I watched the live view from your town. You seem to have quite much snow there, too. Is there a skating rink in the picture?
I'm afraid I can't give you an exact answer to your question. Aurora Borealis is a rare phenomenon in Helsinki (southern Finland). In northern Finland it can be observed much more often. Last (and the only) time I observed Aurora Borealis in Helsinki was in September 2005. (See the picture here: September 12th, 2005.)
