Helsinki: The Lutheran Cathedral seen from the tower of Erottaja Rescue Station. I think the surroundings of the church look very untypical in this photo, which is why I published it.

@Gré
I saw your comments from 14.06.06. Yes, in my birthday was beautiful weather and I saw sunrise at 4:13. That was amazing! Thanks for remember. :)
From which country are you? Are you interesting Finland like I? I think that Suomi is the most beautiful country!

I'm from the Netherlands. We love all the Scandinavian countries. Our dreamtravel is, with a camper throughout Norway all away to the North(cape). Than down through Finland (Lapland and the lakes)to Helsinki. From Helsinki to Stockholm and via South Sweden back to Danmark and home.
And I am also a great fan of Niklas his photo's. Not only from Finland, his photo's from Greece last year were also beautiful! But my heart goes out to the Northern countries.

I'm fan of Nikla's photos, too! He is very good in his job. I visit every day his page.

actually it looks like the Cathedral was set into a completely different surrounding, as if somebody had stolen it from Helsinki and put it into another city. - I could even understand doing that ;)
The picture was taken a bit more than a week after I've seen Helsinki for the first time. Even though I didn't see my favourite place from that angle, the picture evokes strong memories...
