Remco, thanks for your comment! The rescue station was open for visitors only on that particular day (June 12th), which is the traditional Helsinki Day. It will probably be open for the public again next year.

Niklas, I don’t know if you ever took a shot of the rescue station. But it will be nice, because it's looking great (like an old castle)!

Wonderful pictures! I am Brazilian and lived in Helsinki from December/2005 to March/2006. It was winter then! I am curious about how is Helsinki in the summertime and this amazing picture gave me the perfect idea on how this is like. I am supposed to go back to Finland for a period of 3-months. Hope I can go in July so I can see this wonderful city under the blue sky and good weather. See ya!
