Kotka: Noctilucent clouds in the night sky above Kotka city in southeastern Finland. The clouds composed of ice lie in the mesopause at a height of about 80 km. See also July 17th, 2005.

Niklas, I saw only two time in my live this clouds. They are extreme clouds, which people can see from the earth. Bydgoszcz is on 53N, so we can sometimes (but rarely)observe Noctilucent clouds...
This is amazing phenomenon! They are magical and resemble a little Aurora Borealis!
I'm very interesteing for different phenomenons at the sky, in especial clouds and sunrises/sunsets. So I enjoy, when you put at your side these photos like this :)

That is beautiful. We don't get skies like that in the lower 48. That is an arctic sky.
