Wonderful evening light shining on the buildings, a beautiful sky and nice reflections in the water. I recognise the lady in green from two pictures ago!

Strange how you get a totally different photo on the same place with a different angle. All three are very nice pictures.

@Niklas: speaking of warm weather, you know, we had 45 - 46 degrees in Athens centre 6 days ago! Fortunately i was on vacation then so, i didn't suffer that much! That is warm!!! :-)

Evi, thanks and welcome back! Good remark, I guess 47 degrees in Athens is about the same as 27 degrees in Helsinki. ;) Now it's just about 23, but it will probably get a little warmer during the next few days. I'm looking forward to seeing your photos from Lefkada Island. Will I see you there, too?
Last week I finally bought my first SLR camera, which I'm very happy about! :) Unfortunately, though, it will still take some time until I publish any photos taken with my new equipment. Before that I still have a lot of learning to do and some technical issues to deal with. Also, I have to move out from my apartment in July (for a few months), which will take a lot of my time. So, if nothing seems to be happening on my site for many days, just please be patient!

There is the same girl in this picture than in the one seen two pictures ago? Is she your favourite model, Niklas? ;-) However, the bright green sweather is a nice contrast do this warm, dim evening coulours.
@ Evi: Although it's only 23 degrees here in Helsinki, I managed to get a sunburn yesterday! So, how burnded would I be in 47 degrees? - I don't even want to think about it...

Maria, yes, she's the same. I just adore the colour of her sweatshirt! ;)
My foreign viewers seem to be flocking in Helsinki this week. I wish you all a pleasant stay!!

Hei Niklas, that's very interesting. Is the SLR you bought a Nikon as well? What lenses did you buy with it?
02.07.2007 (18:10)
Niklas Sjöblom
Wessel, it's a Nikon D200 and two Zoom-Nikkor AF-S lenses, DX 18-70mm and VR 70-300mm.
02.07.2007 (18:40)
Niklas, that's excellent material! I guess you've won the lottery quite recently, since this high quality stuff is bloody expensive ;-)

Wessel, let's just hope it's worth the price! Besides the price, what I know for sure so far is that it's big and heavy. ;) I just checked that using 300 mm with my new camera is about the same as using full zoom with your Canon Powershot S3 IS.
02.07.2007 (19:24)
Niklas, the only difference is that I have image stabilisation on my Canon ;-) But I think the 18mm wide angle that you can get is really impressive and only one of the many advantages of an SLR compared to the normal ultra zoom camera's. Together with the fact that Nikon is simply the best, I believe that it will most surely be worth the price! Anyway, I am really looking forward to seeing the pictures that you can take with it.

Aargh! All this technical information!!! I still have to work out how to use my £29.99 digital camera from Argos.:-) Happy holidays to all of you. I have another 3 weeks to go, then it's off to Malta before returning to my 'home from home', Tampere in August.
Oh, by the way, great pics, Nik. Nice to see that summer has arrived somewhere. It's pretty dismal in the UK at present.
