Helsinki: A sun dog (parhelion) in a small cloud above the city seen from one of the Suomenlinna islands. The colourful patch is a halo phenomenon caused by refraction of sunlight by ice crystals in a cirrus cloud. Sun dogs also appeared in two of my pictures taken on 22 January 2007: photo 1 / photo 2.

Wow! I thought only Aurora Borealis shall appear in Helsinki :)
2 Katrina: as it's said in wikipedia, sundogs can appear in any place at any time, so you'll get yours too one day! :)
