Helsinki: View from the South Harbour ten minutes after sunrise. Valkosaari island can be seen behind the steam rising from the partly frozen sea. The temperature was about -21°C/-6°F.

Thank you for your answer, Niklas. That's right - it's a skating rink at these picture. It's a favourite place many children :)

I know that Aurora Borealis is a rare phenomenon in Helsinki... But do you know, that on 30 October 2003 this vision was in my town too[Bydgoszcz - 53 degrees of North]. Here you are few photos of Aurora in Bydgoszcz [site - Institute of Meteorology in Poland].
