Looks cold. You had a cool summer this year in Finnland, didn't you? I know, June was cold, because I was there, and I did not have enough long-sleeve t-shirts with me. But this picture looks, as if August still was cold.

Maria, yes, the whole summer seemed very cold, but nevertheless I think it was quite normal. The problem was that there were no longer warm periods at all, and it rained quite a lot. August has been disappointing, too. :(

Quite normal? Well, then I have been very lucky so far, the last 4 years, I always spend one month in Helsinki in summer, and the weather was good, warm and sunny.

Maria, I just checked the facts. It turns out that June was the only month of this summer, which was colder than usual (1971-2000) in Helsinki. Both July and August were warmer than usual, although I don't think they felt like that. Three of the five warmest summers in Helsinki since 1900 are 1997, 2002 and 2006 - all recent years.
