Porvoo: View from the lantern room of Söderskär lighthouse, which is located on an island in the outer archipelago of Porvoo, about 25 kilometres east from Helsinki. The Fresnel lens was manufactured in Paris in 1862.

Oh, that is a great picture!
Is this a lighthouse open to the public, or is it due to your membership of this lighthouse association, that you were allowed enter the lantern-room?

Maria, regular trips to Söderskär are arranged during the summer months from the Market Square in Helsinki. During the guided tours anyone can visit the lighthouse including the lantern room.

Kyllä sivustosi oli ennestään tuttu. Kun tuo majakkakuva tuli sivuille, katsottiin ensin, että ihan samanlainen sää kuin meidän käydessämme - ja sitten muistimme, että olitkin siellä juuri kuvaamassa!
